Okay... lets see here.
First off my Morbidblue secret santa gifts (knitted portion of the gifts anyway)
Simple_And_Stylish )
Then there's the bag I'm knitting to felt, it's just for me, done with Noro and a classic wool by patons. It's a pattern from pursinalities with a bit of an augmentation as i really didn't want to use cascade's fizz. BLEH. I for one am not a big fan of the eyelash yarn.

Then there's the sweater I'm working on for my mom. It's more of a tunic really. It's from a paton's book. Simple yet elegant in a very taupy brown. Patons Decor substituted for classic wool by patons.

Then there's Branching Out. All in all i really enjoyed working on it, the pattern was simple but not boring.

And thems be the projects thusfar.

a pilgrims progress

November 12th, 2006 (01:31 pm)
current mood: don't ask
current song: singing is fire - pretty and twisted

As I've been hard at work on christmas sweaters I thought I'd take a few pictures of my piece de resistance. It's the "Gathering Intentions" sweater from the book "Inspired Cable Knits".
The book itself is amazing and the patterns are insanely beautiful and easy to exicute. I love the way Fiona Ellis talks about the sweaters and the way she's arrived at the various patterns.

It's been a while o' knitting LJ but I'm back with tales to tell...

October 12th, 2006 (01:41 am)

Lately I've been knitting lots *and i mean lots* of scarves. People crawl out of the woodwork wanting scarves. Among the mele are two special ones for me:
-Branching Out for my mom
and
-Clapotis for my Auntie (who taught me to knit).

As well I'm getting started on x-mass gifts as i want to try and knit/crochet most of them.
Among the more complex that I have executively decided to do are:
-This Sweater for my brother with the Saskatchewan Roughriders logo on it.
-
"Gathering Intentions" from "Inspired Cable Knits"

for Stacy whom I think deserves a nice and warm sweater for the winter and autumn and spring.
I haven't finalized moms full present yet, but I'm sure pictures of my progress will soon follow.

I should say that's Peatrie with it, she loves being in pictures and looking disinterested.

Just finished Kool-Aid dying some wool which i'm excited to see when it's all dry and knit up. I've got two more projects on the needles I'll probably go into more depth about tomorrow or something.

Updaticus...

April 8th, 2006 (01:59 am)
current location: riding with the dream king
current song: Tear in your hand - Tori Amos

mmmm yes, I have been semi busy in my last week of classes stupor, don't assume i haven't been knitting my little heart out.

As per usual I've got a trillion and one things on the go right now. Hence i shall now list them.
- a "hug" (basically a shrug minus the "s") it's 75% of the way done, it's been my primarily school knit
- knitty's Boogie which is also 75% of the way done, I'm doing it in Shetland Chunky Color Berry Marl. It's been a quick knit but due to size i keep it for an "at home knit" kind of project. It's also part of the whole Lewiscraft sale purchase pile. Yay for making a dint in that.
- a pair of tribble paperweights for my prof (one tribble halfway done). More or less it was finding a pattern i could augment that took the time.
- A scarf for a girl in my ENG 283.6 class. Basically she's paying me to knit her a scarf. Which is cool, I have to have that done in time for our final. I think I'll do something basic I'm working with the red light and lofty which basically is so pretty you need very little pattern to look exceptional.

I've knit a bunch of hats. Primarily because well with no hair i feel as though i need them, even if i like being un-hatted. I'm strange. What can i say?
